Because to get all the ingredients for one dinner you have to visit 3 different neighborhood organic natural delis and one old-fashioned bodega.

If this were a town outside of Paris I would have no complaints having to visit la boulangerie, la charcuterie, la patisserie and la fromagerie because those shops have fundamental differences, like completely different products.

The former mentioned four stores are essentially conjoined quadruplets whose mom is two blocks of Brooklyn.

Because a bagel store can be out of everything bagels at 11am on a Sunday.

No. 8

Because when you finally think New York is giving you the break of a lifetime, a Saturday morning parking space in front of the cheap fruit store, the guy driving behind you sees your u-turn and pulls one too. Then you have to wait and watch him parallel park, without grace, into your spot before you can keep looking for another one.
